MAINTENANCE

A new heating system has been installed!!!!!! WE WANT TO THANK EVERYONE WHO MADE A DONATION TO THIS PROJECT. Every dollar helped make this upgrade come about. We believe the infrared system will give more uniform heat and of course, Way Less Noisy. It should also help with propane costs and take less time for the building to heat.

The floor has been refinished and looks GREAT. Just a reminder – Please pick up chairs and tables so the floor stays this nice.

Books for sale have been put on shelves in the foyer. The books are much easier to browse a donation can is available for your convenience.

The historical advertising banner that hung for many years in the center is now tucked away in a tube and will be stored in a safe place. We still need more information on the banner. Can you help? Please call Max at 836-0845 if you have information on what year it was made or who painted the mountain/river scene. This information will be hung in the center along with a picture of the banner.

PANCAKE BREAKFASTS

The 2009 breakfasts were a GREAT success! Thanks to all that came and ate and also to all the volunteers! We could not do these fundraisers successfully without you.

JCCA WINTER FUNCTIONS

JAN 15 – Chili Dinner – 6:30 $7/adult $3/children - all you can eat.

FEB 12 – Valentines Dinner – 6:30 - Reservations will be required. More information later via posters and the website.

MAR 12 – ANNUAL JCCA MEETING – 6:30 All members and “wananbe” members please attend. Come enjoy the meal provided by JCCA and help us with plans for the upcoming year.

If there is inclement weather on the above dates, call a Board Member to see if the function has been cancelled or moved to the next Friday.

Other functions in the area:

Fairplay Holiday Bazaar at the school in Fairplay – 9:30 – 4:30. Dec. 5 . This benefits the Fairplay school PTO. Come buy those Christmas gifts!

Como Civic Assoc. – Don’t forget Dinner/Bingo every 3 rd Saturday. Dinner at 6 p.m.-Bingo at 7. Call 836-1910 for more information.

Watch the FLUME and notices in the post offices/market for more information on area functions.

REMEMBER: Both the schoolhouse and the community center are your buildings. JCCA oversees them. Use them for weddings; family reunions, company get-togethers; community functions; HOA meetings. Check our website www.jccacolorado.org for more information or call any of the Board members.
